GLASS + METAL SYSTEMS

Hannes Huber – history

From a sole trader with a focus on metal to an engine of innovation for glass- and metalworking.

Hannes Huber established the business in 2003 as a sole trader. Initially he mainly worked for established metalworking companies in the Eisack Valley as a self-employed technician, gaining valuable experience in the process.

In 2005 he rented a small workshop to meet individual customer needs, for example railing elements of stainless steel and glass, or various special fixtures and fittings.

In 2007, business success and growing order books meant more staff were taken on for metalworking and project management, meaning that larger projects could now be realised and customers provided with the necessary support from the planning stages onwards.

In 2008 an even larger hall was rented and completely refurbished, with the vehicle fleet expanded and the plant machinery upgraded. The office too was enlarged, with a meeting room and an exhibition space also added. The following year the innovation and research company ALM² was founded, with the focus on developing new products. The first project was the Alpine noise barrier PROTECTA.

Today, the young, highly trained team at Hannes Huber can offer expertise in the areas of façade engineering, insulation and air-conditioning. Hannes Huber has received both EN1090 and ISO 9001 certification and is registered as a specialist environmental firm with the Bozen Chamber of Commerce: it is an expert in technical climate simulations of thermal bridges.

The Hannes Huber team can realise innovative projects in glass and metal construction.
